Don´t mess with Texas-cake

How many recipes are there for chocolate cakes? Thousands? Hundreds of thousands? Correct answer? Never enough 🙂

This one is of the dark, moist, seductive kind. And it´s sneaky. It grabs hold of your tongue, possessively, and doesn´t let go until you take a big gulp of ice cold milk… But even after that it leaves you unsatisfied, yearning for more…

2 x success cake (suksesskake)

This lovely, yellow half cake / half confectionery (with no food colorings) is actually called “suksesskake” in Norwegian. I don´t know that this cake has a name in English, Google sure didn´t provide me with any – so let´s just do a quick and dirty translation and call it a success cake. Agreed?

Eat it by itself, or with a nice green salad as sidekick. Talk about classy comfort food!

Chocolate cobbler: a success story!

Finally, after a birthday party and a nice long fall break in Spain with our great friends, I have resumed the position:

On the couch, my favorite blanket over me, my macbook on my lap and a cup of tea beside me. And the movie “Coco avant Chanel” playing in the background. Writing about chocolate in the absence of chocolate required a little side-tracker… Chocolate lovers; brace yourselves.
