It has gotten really cold here the last week; well below freezing. Every man, woman and child is bundling up, hiding their chins deep into their scarfs. As luck would have it, just before the cold front hit the west coast I was out on my terrace eyeing my parsley and my chives.
This is a magical combination: asparagus, plenty of good olive oil, arugula (rocket), parmesan and a fried egg, sunny side up. It will take you 5 minutes, and you will have a beautiful plate in front of you. And just one little secret ingredient pushes this to the top of my appetizer chart!
Or my bookshelf, rather! Ok, so I know this isn´t edible… but just decided I wanted to share with you my very exciting Saturday night…

There must be as many waffle recipes as there are Norwegian grandmothers, but this one has got to be the best 😉
