Behold and be prepared! I am about to share with you Phoebe´s grandmother´s “secret” chocolate chip cookie recipe… Now, I made quite a few cookies and even though I gave some to my dear neighbors, I thought they would last more than one day. But no, no such luck. They were goners in no time!

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ts baking soda
  • 1 ts salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 ts vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) chocolate chips

Norsk:

  • 0.5 l hvetemel
  • 1 ts natron
  • 1 ts salt
  • 200 g smør, mykt
  • 1.75 dl sukker
  • 1.75 dl brunt sukker
  • 1 ts vaniljeekstrakt om du har (2 ts vaniljeessens hvis ikke)
  • 2 store egg
  • ca. 300 g sjokoladebiter

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit / 190 degrees Celsius.

Start by mixing flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl.

Cube the butter (so it mixes easier).

Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in a mixer.

Then add the eggs, one at a time.

Gradually mix in the flour mixture, and then add the chocolate chips.

Use a spoon to plop the dough on a baking sheet.

Bake for about 9 minutes, make sure not to overbake! Take em out and let the cookies cool on racks. Put them in your favorite cookie jar, with a small piece of bread. This will help keep your cookies nice and soft!

Got milk?!
